Know Your Customer checks will verify identity, contact details, risk indicators and partner eligibility before any real regulated wallet or account is activated.

KYB

Know Your Business checks will review business registration, beneficial ownership, store activity and merchant risk before settlement or acquiring workflows.

AML

Anti-money laundering controls will include risk scoring, transaction monitoring, screening, escalation and suspicious activity workflows with authorised partners.

FICA/FIC obligations

South African FICA and Financial Intelligence Centre obligations will be handled with legal, compliance and licensed partner support before live regulated use.

POPIA privacy

Personal information must be collected for a defined purpose, protected, retained responsibly and processed with appropriate consent and operator controls.

Fraud monitoring

Device, behaviour, velocity and payment signals will be monitored to detect fraud patterns and protect users and partners.

Transaction monitoring

Payments, rewards and settlements will be reviewed for unusual activity, sanctions concerns, misuse and regulatory reporting triggers.

Disputes and complaints

VowBank will maintain support, disputes, escalation, complaints, audit trail and partner handoff processes for customer protection.

Partner dependency

Live account, card, settlement, custody and reporting services depend on approved licensed banking, payment, KYC and BaaS partners.

Risk management

Risk registers, incident response, access control, audit logs, vendor due diligence and management reporting are part of launch readiness.
